Frequently asked questions



What makeup/products do you use?


I use Bobbi Brown & MAC makeup and Sebastian hair products.


Do you have a Travel Fee and how far will you travel?


Travel within Auckland city including Papakura, Albany and Henderson are all complimentary. I will travel wherever you would like me to be, I've been flown to regions as far south as Queenstown and as far north as the Bay of islands, Basically, as long as the travel / time charges are covered I'll be there! :)


Do you travel to Waiheke and what are the costs?


YES! The travel fee to Waiheke is $100 per person, (this covers our ticket, parking in the city and travel time (1 1/2 hours on the ferry) plus you will need to arrange transport to and fro the hotel once we arrive and are ready to go.


Do I need a Trial?


I suggest that every bride has a trial. It's one of you most special days and you want to make sure every thing is PERFECT! ON your trial we can go over looks that you like and I will suggest things for your face shape, hair length as well as the theme of your wedding shouldn't be forgotten here either.. so much to discuss!


When should I have my Trial?


The trial run is usually done a month or two before the Wedding day. It’s a good idea to coincide this with your hens night, final dress fitting or a special occasion so you can make the most out of looking fabulous.


Do I need to pay a booking/deposit fee? And when do I have to pay the balance?


Yes, 30% of your total booking not including your trial (required in cash on the day) is required as the deposit. The balance is due one week prior.


When should I wash my Hair?


The night before I arrive. Please make sure your hair is BONE DRY as well as has no product in it. Also, please apply moisturiser as normal but no makeup - this applies to both your trial and on the day, please let the bridesmaids know as well!

Do you work with an assistant for larger Weddings?


Yes, for larger Wedding parties definatly. I have a great team on board that come with me to weddings as well as take bookings if I am already booked. (Don't tell them this as I'm scared they'll leave me, but they're AMAZING!)


Do I need to buy a lipstick, powder etc?


Yes, I will let you know which ones we use and you can purchase them. I highly suggest getting a lippy as well as a powder - especially in summer!


Terms and conditions



T&C of any booking


Agreement: By completing the booking form you agree to all terms and conditions. Definition of booker – the person who made the booking.

Confirmation:Please note that completing this form is not a confirmed booking, please await confirmation via email or contact from beautified. If you are unsure please send through an email. By completing this booking form you accept all terms and conditions as outlined below.



Wedding Bookings


Payments: All confirmed bookings require a 30% deposit. The remainder of total balance is to be paid via bank transfer to Beautified’s nominated account as arranged either 7 days prior to, or in cash on the day.

Booking amendments: Amendments made to the booking within 8 weeks of the wedding date are not always able to be accommodated. Beautified endeavors to do their best to help in every situation. If you are cancelling any of the team / staff / artists booked for the bridal party, the 50% deposit for each team member / staff member / artist is non-refundable.


Wedding cancellations: Once the booking has been confirmed, Beautified reserves the right to charge a booking cancellation fee should the booking be cancelled. (50% of total fee)

Satisfaction guarantee: If you are not satisfied with your trial (not including if you ‘just didn’t like the style your picked, want to try another look’, Beautified will offer another trial free of charge with the same Beautified artist, or another artist from the Beautified Team to rectify the issues to your satisfaction. If you are still unhappy Beautified will refund your deposit. This applies to trials which are a minimum of 6 weeks prior to the wedding date only.



Event / Industry bookings


Payments: All confirmed bookings require full payment ahead in advance, full payment in cash on the day or invoiced, which is due within 7 days. This will be decided on a project by project basis.

Booking amendments: Amendments made to bookings are not always able to be accommodated. Beautified endeavors to do their best to help in every situation.


Cancellations: Beautified requires at least 5 working days notice or more for cancellations or to re-schedule an appointment. If you cancel within 5 working days then the booker agrees to pay 50% of the total booking fee (ie 50% deposit) or 50% of total fee, the only acceptable form of cancellation is an email to ashlee@beautified.co.nz. If you cancel within 3 working days or less the client agrees to pay the full booking amount.

Spray Tans require no deposit and do not have a cancellation fee. Beautified asks to please let us know if any changes need to be made or if you cannot make it to your appointment to please let us know as soon as possible so we can re-book your space.

Parking and Travelling fee's: Parking fees are an added cost payable by the booker. If your booking is within a hotel, the Beautified lady/ladies attending will charge the parking to the room unless other arrangements are made. Travelling is free for the first 20minutes to the preparation address from the Beautified Ladies address. Travel costs will be quoted individually for each booking.

GST: Beautified contractors may or may not be registered for GST. If required, please enquire upon booking if the Beautified Lady/the contractor attending to your booking is GST registered.
